Synopsis:
Unlike traditional mystery novels, Shiuli is free from crime, violence, and ghosts. Yet, it brims with curiosity, adventure, and inspiration. It’s not a travelogue, but it takes readers on a journey of discovery. This novel beautifully captures the transition from childhood to adolescence, shifting from the world of seeing to knowing, from sensing to understanding.

At the heart of this novel are siblings Joy and Jaya, who embark on a journey, sometimes hand-in-hand with their vast-hearted father and their wise, ocean-like grandfather, and sometimes on their own. As they navigate through life’s wonders and mysteries, the story unfolds in a way that is both enchanting and thought-provoking.

Through his unique and engaging storytelling, Sanjib Chattopadhyay crafts a narrative that captivates not only young readers but also parents and guardians, making Shiuli a novel that resonates across generations.
