Synopsis:
Kashmir—the land of heavenly beauty—has mesmerized countless people with its breathtaking landscapes. However, is this picturesque paradise truly untouched by darkness?

Unlike the romanticized version of Kashmir often shown in films, Shishmahal unveils the hidden scars of the region. This novel narrates a story of pain, despair, and helplessness, exposing a tragic history buried beneath its stunning scenery.

It portrays Kashmir as a "No Man’s Land," where its people stand in "helpless amazement," realizing the stark contrast between beauty and suffering. The very landscapes that captivate hearts also haunt like a nightmare. Shishmahal is the tale of this "infernal paradise."
