Synopsis:
Undercover agent Biliti Bose is idly sitting around, out of assignments. Suddenly, a top private agency recruits him to fight against a Russian terrorist attack. His only weapons? His intelligence and his innocent assistant, Toffee De.

Meanwhile, in a completely unrelated mess, a gang led by Chhota Mahendra mistakenly kidnaps Bik Bapi, the only son of Sandow Mohan, instead of Lovely, the daughter of businessman Tilu Roy. This accidental abduction creates an unexpectedly tangled situation.

How does Biliti, armed with just his sharp wit and determination, untangle both crises single-handedly? Shalimare Sanghat is an unconventional thriller that blends humor, action, and intelligence, transporting readers to a world of unexpected twists and suspenseful storytelling.

About the Author:
Srijato, born on December 21, 1975, in Kolkata, comes from a family deeply rooted in literature and music. His father, Tapan Bandyopadhyay, was a journalist, while his mother, Srila Bandyopadhyay, was a classical musician.

He debuted in poetry with "Shesh Chithi" (1999), dropping his surname soon after. His breakthrough collection, "Uranto Sob Joker" (2004), won both the Ananda Puraskar and the Krittibas Puraskar. He later received the Bangla Academy Award (2014) for "Karkatkrantir Desh" and the Sunil Gangopadhyay Award (2020) from the West Bengal Poetry Academy.

Apart from poetry, he actively writes novels, film scripts, and lyrics. His contributions to Bengali literature have taken him to international literary events, including the Iowa International Writing Program (2006), Edinburgh International Book Festival (2008), and the Hay Festival in Wales (2017).

In 2004, he married Durba Bandyopadhyay, who transitioned from academia to child welfare and social work.

He is passionate about black coffee, music, exploring museums, and dreaming of making films—all while indulging in his love for contemplation and leisurely thinking.
