🔹 Shekhar Mukhopadhyay was born in October 1965, in Rampurhat, Birbhum, India.
🔹 His childhood was spent across different parts of North and South Bengal due to his father’s occupation, but Shantiniketan later became his permanent residence.
🔹 He holds a Master’s degree in Economics (M.A.) and has worked on several research projects before starting his career as a professor.
🔹 He has taught at Darjeeling Government College, Goenka College of Commerce and Business Administration, and is currently teaching at Jhargram Raj College.
🔹 His literary journey began during his student years, publishing in school and college magazines. However, after a long break, he returned to writing with his short story ‘Promoter-er Lok’ published in ‘Desh’ magazine in September 2005, which marked his comeback as a writer.
