Set in the mysterious forests of Chapramari in Dooars, Bhor is a gripping tale of fear, folklore, and suspense. In the darkness of the dense jungle, strange and terrifying events unfold—one after another, Indian bisons (gaurs) are dying mysteriously.
The local villagers, bound by superstition, believe that these strange occurrences are the doing of Manaldanal, a mythical demon from tribal folklore. But is it really the work of a supernatural entity, or is there something far more sinister lurking in the shadows?
✔ Bainduryadyuti, the investigating officer, suspects poachers behind these incidents.
✔ Jayanta Barman, the local beat officer, and Rahul Sinha, the forest ranger, feel a deep, inexplicable fear growing within them.
✔ Shinjini, the minister’s daughter, has come from the city to Dooars, but she too finds herself trapped in the clutches of an unnamed terror.
✔ Kajori, a Munda tribal girl, and her lover Bhura—along with Jayanta’s mother, Gauri—are also entangled in this web of fear.
What is the real horror hidden deep within the jungle?
Is it truly the demon Manaldanal, or is there something even more terrifying lurking in the shadows?
Why are the gaurs dying?
And will the forest itself reveal the truth?
