About the Author
Krishnaendu Mukhopadhyay was born in 1964 in Barrackpore and spent his early life in Shyamnagar. He received his early education from Ichhapur Northland Boys High School. He started writing during his school days and initially contributed irregularly to various Little Magazines. From 2005, he began writing short stories regularly for various publications of Anandabazar Patrika.
His story "Khejur Kata" was adapted into a radio play, and another story, "Chhobi’r Mukh", was aired as a radio drama on Akashvani. His short story "Brahmakamal" won the First Prize in Desh Mystery Story Competition in 2006, and his science fiction story titled "Purba" secured Second Place in the Desh Story Competition in 2007. His debut novel, Radhika, was well-received.
Professionally, he works as an engineer in the IT sector of a private power company. Besides writing, he also pens essays on various topics and has a special interest in Indian classical music
