About the Author

Bimal Kar (Born: 1921 – Died: August 26, 2003) was an acclaimed Bengali writer known for his profound storytelling and unique narrative style. His childhood was spent in various locations including Jabalpur, Hazaribagh, Gomoh, Dhanbad, and Asansol. He graduated from Calcutta University and worked in diverse professions, including:
ARP (Air Raid Precaution) in 1942
Munitions Production Depot in Asansol (1943)
Indian Railways in Varanasi (1944)

His career in journalism and publishing included roles as:

📖 Sub-editor at Pashchimbanga and Satyajug (1946-1952)
📖 Long-time association with Desh magazine (1954-1982)
