  • Conducted research at Calcutta University (1933-1936) under the Ramtanu Lahiri Scholarship.

  • Contributed extensively to poetry, novels, dramas, short stories, and essays.
  • Joined Anandabazar Patrika’s editorial board in 1946.
  • Became a professor in Calcutta University’s Bengali Department (1950).
