About the Book:
Tulsidas' Ramcharitmanas holds immense religious significance for the people of India. Unlike the Ramayana, Tulsidas chose to name it Ramcharitmanas, meaning "The Lake of the Deeds of Rama." This poetic masterpiece recounts the story of Lord Ramchandra of Ayodhya in a beautifully composed style.
The work is divided into seven chapters, or Kaandas, beginning with Balkaanda and progressing through the epic journey of Lord Rama and Sita. It culminates with their coronation. Tulsidas' stanzas, composed with such musical quality, can be sung in various ragas.
Sant Shri Morari Bapu has added a contemporary dimension to the classic by interspersing its verses with stories relevant to modern times, making it a timeless piece for devotees and admirers alike.
About the Author:
Sant Shri Morari Bapu:
Sant Tulsidas, the original creator of Ramcharitmanas, lived from 1511 to 1637 AD. Born with the name of Lord Rama on his lips, he studied in Kashi and was blessed with multiple divine visions of Lord Rama. Overwhelmed by these spiritual experiences, Tulsidas wrote several works, including Dohavali, Gitawali, Krishna Gitawali, Janki Mangla, and Vinay Patrika. His Ramcharitmanas remains an unparalleled contribution to Indian literature and devotion.
