About the Book
The history of the development of sociology spans almost 175 years, with numerous sociologists contributing to its evolution. Western thinkers such as Auguste Comte, Herbert Spencer, Karl Marx, Max Weber, Emile Durkheim, Vilfredo Pareto, and Pitirim Sorokin presented various theories to understand human society. In India, monumental thinkers have made significant contributions to understanding Indian society. Indian sociologists have conducted in-depth studies on topics like culturalization, dominant castes, and joint families.

This book explores the major contributions and studies of Radhakamal Mukerjee, D.P. Mukerji, and G.S. Ghurye, among others. It is a valuable resource for students and researchers interested in both global and Indian society. The book will be especially helpful for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
