This resist method involves applying wax to fabric in intricate designs, creating patterns that are rich and vibrant. Batik printed fabrics are renowned for their durability and are often passed down through generations as treasured family heirlooms.

Biswa Bangla's Batik creations use contemporary designs in vibrant colours, crafted by the talented women of Birbhum, who work in Self-Help Groups to produce these distinctive fabrics. The process of making a Batik saree involves an artisan working for 2-4 days to create the design.

• Handwoven: Missing yarn, slobs, and uneven yarn contrasts are common in handwoven products, adding to the charm and uniqueness of the saree.
