About the Author

H.Y. Siddiqui taught at the Department of Social Work at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, for over 35 years (1969–2005). His expertise has been sought internationally, and he has lectured on social work education, women’s issues, child labor, drug abuse, and more in countries such as the USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

Professor Siddiqui is also an active consultant for national and international NGOs and has authored and edited multiple books and articles in the field of social work and social development.
