About the Book
This volume offers an in-depth analysis of international human rights law, a field that has significantly evolved since the adoption of the United Nations Charter (1945) and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948). The book provides a conceptual framework for human rights standards, reflecting on their historical and philosophical foundations.
The content covers key categories of civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights, while emphasizing the rights of vulnerable groups, including women, children, minorities, indigenous peoples, and migrant workers. Furthermore, the book examines the complex relationship between humanitarian law and human rights.
Intended for a wide range of readers, including human rights activists, teachers, students, and professionals working in public administration, law enforcement, and decision-making roles, this work provides critical insights into the global human rights framework and the protection of vulnerable groups.
