About the Author
Poornima Jain is the Head of the Department of Sociology and Political Science at Dayalbagh Educational Institute (Deemed University), Agra, and has served as the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences for two terms. She holds an M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Jain has published three books and has presented several papers in various conferences and seminars.
