Author Details
K N Rao is an Indian Vedic astrologer with significant contributions to the field. Born in Andhra Pradesh, he comes from a Brahmin family and is the second child of K R Rao, a well-known journalist during India's independence period. His elder brother, Pratap Rao, served in the Foreign Service, while his younger brother, Vikram Rao, was President of the All India Working Journalists Association. His youngest brother retired from banking and later contributed to the prestigious “Journal of Astrology.”
K N Rao is highly educated, holding a Master's degree in English Literature. Before embarking on his career in the Indian Audit and Accounts Service, he worked as an English language lecturer. He retired as Director-General in 1990. Known for his deep knowledge of astrology, he dedicated his later years to sharing his insights with the world.
