About the Book
Tumi Pran Tumi Par is a poignant and introspective poetry collection by Binayak Bandopadhyay, one of the eminent voices in contemporary Bengali poetry. The title itself reflects a theme of duality—life and death, existence and dissolution—expressed through a meditative exploration of the human condition. Each poem in the collection delves deep into themes of love, separation, identity, and the search for meaning in a tumultuous world.
The poet crafts words that convey an emotional depth that speaks to the very core of human experience. This collection is reflective, philosophical, and deeply personal, with poems that invite readers to engage in a dialogue with themselves about the nature of being. Bandopadhyay’s evocative and lyrical style renders these themes not just as abstract ideas, but as lived experiences that many will recognize.
