About the book:
- This collection brings forth a different take on the traditional Chaturdashpadi (14-line poetic form) in Bengali poetry. Shrijat, known for his distinctive use of the Shakespearean sonnet structure, now channels these forms into an inward, contemplative space. The book explores unexplored imagery and metaphors, offering reflections on life and philosophy. "Je Jyotsna Harinatit" showcases a unique poetic voice and marks the unexplored territory in Shrijat's craft.
About the author:
- Shrijat was born on December 21, 1975, in Kolkata. His early life was influenced by a family deeply rooted in music and journalism. He has written numerous poetry books, including "Uronta Sab Jokar", for which he received the Ananda Puraskar and Krittibas Puraskar in 2004. Shrijat has also been honored with the Bengali Academy Award and other accolades.
- Apart from poetry, he writes novels, songs, and screenplays. He has represented Bengali poetry internationally at places like the Iowa Writers' Workshop in the USA, the Edinburgh Book Festival, and the Hay Festival in Wales.
