About the Author

Yoshay Lama Lindblom holds a BA in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi.

She has also studied English and Creative Writing at Lund University, Sweden.

Her debut short story collection, The Way We Are: Dark Tales from the Himalayas, explores the lives of her community in and around the Darjeeling Hills, Sikkim, Nepal, and Delhi.

She is also the author of the Asian fantasy duology Beyal: Hidden Lands and Return to Beyul, a reimagining of Beauty and the Beast set in a mythical parallel world deep in the Himalayas.

As a literary translator, she has translated Flight of the Munal from Nepali, a short story collection by Chimi Lama, forthcoming in publication.

Her earlier works have appeared in online magazines such as Social Potpourri and New Asian Writing.
