About the Author

• Yoshay Lama Lindblom holds a BA in English Literature from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi.

• She has also studied English and Creative Writing at Lund University, Sweden.

• Her debut short story collection, The Way We Are: Dark Tales from the Himalayas, explores the lives of her community in and around the Darjeeling Hills, Sikkim, Nepal, and Delhi.

• She is also the author of the Asian fantasy duology Beyal: Hidden Lands and Return to Beyul, a reimagining of Beauty and the Beast set in a mythical parallel world deep in the Himalayas.

• As a literary translator, she has translated Flight of the Munal from Nepali, a short story collection by Chimi Lama, forthcoming in publication.
