About Dinendrakumar Ray

Dinendrakumar Ray was born on 26th August 1869 in Meherpur, Nadia district, Bengal. He was an influential figure in Bengali literature, particularly known for his contribution to detective fiction and children’s literature. His educational journey began with the entrance exam from Mahishadal High School in 1888, followed by his enrollment in Krishnanagar College.

In 1893, he started working as an employee in the Rajshahi district court, marking the beginning of his professional career. Dinendrakumar Ray made his literary debut in 1895 with his first piece titled "Ekti Kusumer Marmakotha: Prabada Prashne", published in the famous Bengali periodicals Bharati and Balak.
