Synopsis:
"Pidimer Alo" is a deeply emotional novel by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay that explores love, longing, and destiny across generations. The story follows Haridas, who, despite loving Kusumkumari, remains unmarried. However, he fathers a child, Haripriya, with Pushpa, a Maithili Brahmin girl. Meanwhile, Kusumkumari marries Shibnath, and their daughter Bandana becomes the next link in this tale of unfulfilled love.
In parallel, the novel tells the story of Nabin Kumar, a famous actor in cinema and Jatra (folk theater), who roams from place to place, changing partners. However, his relentless pursuit of companionship leads him to Aloka, a simple girl in whom he discovers an island of stability. Is she truly the light he has been searching for?
With two intertwined narratives, Pidimer Alo delves into the unpredictability of life and relationships, capturing the delicate essence of human emotions.
