Synopsis:
The novel Panchasharer Ekti Kam is infused with a sweet romantic essence. Photographer Pritam wishes to express his love for Prathama, who has gone on a trip to Chilkigarh near Jhargram with her mother. Shovon Roy is also there, trying to get close to June. Curious and concerned, Pritam asks his friend Neel Lohit to observe the situation. But upon arriving, Neel Lohit encounters a series of astonishing incidents.

The novel also includes other intertwined stories:

  • Gobhīr Rāte Dighir Dhare unfolds in a supernatural atmosphere. Neel Lohit visits Bholanathpur with Jharnamashi, Robinmesho, and their children Tina and Ran. Strange paranormal events start occurring in Robinmesho’s ancestral mansion, culminating in the eerie suicide of a girl in the estate’s pond. One fateful night, Neel Lohit finds Jharnamashi heading toward a pond in a nearby village. But why?

  • In another segment, Neel Lohit, staying in a deserted house in a village near Diamond Harbour, is startled to see Ruma Boudi on the third floor. What is she doing there? A stolen turtle sets off a chain of mysterious events, and Neel Lohit stumbles upon shocking secrets. As he stands before Ruma Boudi’s hidden world, reminiscent of Mahabharata’s Kunti, he is left in awe. In this situation, is his role like that of Karna?

About the Author (Character - Neel Lohit):
Neel Lohit is a wandering youth whose age never surpasses twenty-seven. He never secures a job, nor does he seem interested in finding one. He ventures into places unknown to many, from music concerts to kite-chasing streets, jungles, wedding feasts, and even foreign lands. Though he tells lies, they are harmless—never dark or malicious. He meets many people but blends into the crowd, remaining unrecognizable. Occasionally, he even crosses paths with Sunil Gangopadhyay.
