Synopsis:

This book brings together three novels—Mrityur Nirman, Anol Atol, and Atandra Akash.

  • Mrityur Nirman: While visiting a hill town, Dr. Anubhav Mitra mysteriously falls from a cliff and dies. Was it murder, suicide, or an accident? Investigative journalist Chirayu Dutta takes on the case and finds himself deeply entangled in the truth, blurring the line between the deceased doctor and his own existence.
  • Anol Atol: The protagonist, Akshar, is shaken when an astrologer makes an unsettling prediction about his future. He begins to see life differently, gradually distancing himself from loved ones and setting off on a journey of self-discovery. But when he returns, is he the same person who had left?
  • Atandra Akash: Meghla has just lost her job and is battling for custody of her child after separating from her husband. Amidst her struggles, a mysterious woman and a man from her past re-enter her life, leading her to rediscover herself.

Each of these gripping stories delves into human psychology, fate, and identity, making for an unforgettable read.

About the Author:

Abhijit Tarafdar made his literary debut in the early 1990s under the mentorship of the late Bimal Kar. His first novel, Mahajagatik (1997), created a sensation, followed by a decade of continuous writing. After publishing Chaturtha Hriday (2006), he took a break from literature but later returned with short stories like Abas, Baran, and Tarpan.

His novel Mahajagatik received the Bangla Akademi Award, while Chaturtha Hriday won the Sharad Arghya Best Novel Award. His short story Shonaktokoron was included in a Sahitya Akademi anthology, and Chalshe was recognized as the best short story of the year.

However, for Tarafdar, awards hold little significance. His true success lies in the impact his stories have on readers—the moments when they are shaken, stirred, or left speechless in deep thought.
