📖 Synopsis:
A wild thicket, entwined vines, and a flowing river. Dharmanarayan, following a divine vision, discovers that a mother goddess rests beneath a Bael tree. Digging the earth, he unearths a four-foot idol and soon builds a temple to enshrine it. Years later, that temple is now revered as "Mayer Bari" (Mother's Home).

Dharmanarayan’s granddaughter Bimbavati and her husband Muktanarayan diligently take care of the temple. Meanwhile, Tarapada, the son of the temple priest, is seen as an eccentric—he sings devotional songs, dances with joy when he sees the clouds, and speaks profound words in simple language.

A complex marital tale unfolds when Tarapada is married off to Sarlabala, a young girl who remains in her father’s home due to her age. Years later, as a newly matured woman, she returns to her husband, only to be rejected. Devoted to his spiritual practice, Tarapada distances himself, and Sarlabala finds herself locked within the confines of her home.

But Sarlabala does not remain a victim. Instead of disrupting her husband's religious pursuits, she forges her own destiny. She becomes a savior to hundreds of destitute women, earning the reverence of all. From a forsaken village girl, she transforms into a living embodiment of the divine—"Manusher Ma" (Mother of Humanity).

A tale of transcendence, resilience, and the awakening of feminine power.
