Birth & Early Life:
- Born in 1316 Bengali Year (1910 AD).
- Raised in a conservative household, so she never attended school or college.
- Received her education entirely at home.

Literary Journey:
- Began writing from a very young age.
- Initially wrote for children—her first poem was published in Shishu Sathi magazine at just 13 years old.
- Soon after, her first short story Pashapashi was published in the same magazine.
- Focused solely on children’s literature from 1329 to 1343 Bengali Year (1922-1936 AD).
- In 1343 Bengali Year (1936 AD), she wrote her first short story for adults, published in the Sharadiya Anandabazar Patrika.
- Her first novel, Prem O Proyojon, was published in 1351 Bengali Year (1944 AD) by Kamala Publishing.
- Authored over 100 books in her lifetime.

- Won the Jnanpith Award and Rabindra Puraskar for her masterpiece Pratham Protishruti.
