About the Author:
Mihir Sengupta was born on 1st September 1947 in the village of Keora, Barishal district, East Bengal (now Jhalkathi, Bangladesh). He passed his matriculation with distinction and later enrolled in Barishal's Brojomohan College. After moving to Kolkata in 1963, he resumed his schooling and graduated in English from Calcutta University in 1968.
While working at the Bank of India, he lived in various regions of West Bengal and Jharkhand. His book Siddhiganjer Mokam won an award from Shruti Academy in Bangladesh. Sengupta was honored with the 1411 Bangabda Anand Puraskar for Bishadbrikkho.
He is currently residing in Bhadrashwar, Hooghly.
