Book Description

"Anekei Eka" by Samaresh Majumdar revolves around the extraordinary life of an unusual girl. She enters into marriage with a man who seems outwardly perfect. He is an M.A. graduate, has a first-class in B.A. Honors, a stable job, and is relatively well-off. His appearance is charming, and his smile is pure like a child's. However, after the marriage, it is revealed that his family has a history of mental illness—both his elder brothers are mentally unstable, and while the youngest brother is fine at the time of the marriage, his future is uncertain.

The story unfolds around this girl’s emotional struggle as she deals with the complexities of her husband's mental health. Despite the cruelty of the world around her, she holds on to him with a strange, almost childlike affection. This captivating narrative explores the turmoil and resilience of the girl as she navigates a life filled with love, hardship, and profound emotional conflict.
