About Batik Print:

Batik print is a technique that creates a three-dimensional feature, adding depth and texture to the fabric. This process involves a "resist" technique for creating intricate designs on textiles. Batik printed fabrics are known for their longevity and are often passed down as family heirlooms.

Biswa Bangla works with the young women of Birbhum, who are members of Self-Help Groups, to create vibrant contemporary designs in Batik. Each Batik saree takes around 2-4 days to produce, ensuring a unique and artisanal touch to every piece.
