About the Book:
Environmental studies have become a critical area of focus in response to the increasing environmental degradation and the growing global awareness of the need for conservation. This book delves into how biotic and abiotic factors are struggling for survival due to environmental changes driven by urbanization, industrialization, population growth, and the large-scale exploitation of natural resources. The absence of rational conservation policies has led to significant climate change, global warming, and extreme weather conditions, such as extreme heat, cold winters, floods, and droughts, which put constraints on the survival of living beings.
The book addresses several key interrelated environmental issues, such as the ecosystem, biodiversity, pollution, environmental hazards, degradation, population explosion, and the pressing concerns of global warming and climate change. With a comprehensive approach, this book provides insightful knowledge for students and professionals in the field of geography and environmental studies, offering practical and conceptual understanding of pressing global environmental concerns.
