Description

The psychological crisis of this age is one of the severest challenges that the human race has ever faced. Mental imbalances and their manifestations in the form of psychosomatic diseases pose a serious health threat. To address this challenge, Indian yogis have developed a powerful relaxation technique—yoga-nidra. They understood that inner tensions and imbalances could only be resolved through inner peace.

This book explores various aspects of yoga-nidra and examines its connection to sleep, dreams, and samadhi. It highlights why yoga-nidra stands out among relaxation therapies, offering complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. The practice removes fluctuations in the mind and helps insomniacs by promoting restful sleep. It is also shown to be beneficial for pain relief, neurosis, and even certain disabilities. The book includes experimental evidence supporting yoga-nidra’s effectiveness, making it useful for scholars, researchers, psychiatrists, and anyone seeking mental peace and higher states of meditation.
