About the Author:
- Satyajit Ray, a globally acclaimed filmmaker and literary genius, was born on May 2, 1921, in Kolkata. The only child of Sukumar Ray and Suprabha Ray, he graduated from Presidency College in 1940 and studied at Santiniketan’s Kala Bhavana before starting his career in advertising.
- His literary journey began with English stories and took flight with the revival of the magazine Sandesh in 1961, where he began writing in Bengali. Feluda’s first story, “Feludar Goendagiri,” was published in 1965, marking the inception of a legendary detective series.
