About the Book

In Bhuture Ghari (ভুতুড়ে ঘড়ি), the quirky and amusing adventure begins with Haran Chandra, who is known for his tendency to lose everything. When his 322nd clock is stolen and replaced with the 323rd clock, the bizarre events begin to unfold. The new clock seems to have a mind of its own, playing hypnotic music, emitting eerie laughter, and even producing an unearthly voice. The story becomes a mix of suspense, mystery, and scientific explanation, all woven into an intriguing narrative. The clock brings about a series of strange occurrences, such as upside-down clock hands, pictures failing to develop, and an eerie, inexplicable atmosphere around the house.

Despite the terrifying happenings, Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay weaves in a touch of humor, making it a suspense-filled adventure that is both entertaining and thought-provoking. While there’s an element of the supernatural, the author introduces a scientific explanation for some of the phenomena, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy. This combination of mystery, suspense, and a hint of the supernatural makes it a fun, exciting, and unpredictable read, especially for young readers who enjoy a mix of adventure and science fiction.
