About the Book

Globalization: Culture & Education in the New Millennium explores how globalization and large-scale immigration are influencing children and youth, both in educational settings and beyond. The book considers broad historical, cultural, technological, and demographic changes, presenting the argument that these global transformations will demand that young people develop new skills and sensibilities far beyond what current educational systems are equipped to provide.

The book is a collection of essays by leading social scientists who address various aspects of globalization's impact on youth, education, and identity. These contributions explore how globalization is reshaping cultural flows, technological interactions, and the ways in which youth are required to engage with the world around them.
