About Tangail Sarees:
Tangail sarees are hand-woven on cotton and silk with hand-worked buti, floral designs, or contemporary motifs. The distinguishing feature of Tangail sarees is the extra weft buti technique, which uses tiny motifs repeated all over the saree with the help of a Jacquard loom. Cotton Tangail sarees are light and ideal for daily wear. Around 1,000 weavers and 2,000 ancillary artisans, primarily in Nadia and some in Bardhaman districts, produce these uniquely elegant and easy-to-manage sarees.
