About Tangail Saree:

Tangail sarees are renowned for their fine handwoven quality, blending cotton and silk with delicate buti (motif) designs. The primary characteristic of a Tangail saree is the extra weft buti, created with tiny motifs repeated throughout the fabric using a Jacquard loom. Cotton Tangail sarees are lightweight, making them perfect for daily wear, while maintaining an elegant and colorful aesthetic.

Incorporating the traditional artistry of Bengal, these sarees are produced by approximately 1,000 weavers and 2,000 ancillary artisans in Nadia and Bardhaman districts. They are highly appreciated for their unique designs, which are a testament to the craftsmanship and heritage of Bengal.

Colour, Texture & Wash Care Information:

  • General: Colour and texture may slightly vary due to differences in lighting or screen settings.

  • Embroidery: Slight irregularities are part of the handwoven and hand-embroidered process. These small variations are characteristic of handmade products and contribute to their uniqueness.

  • Handwoven: Missing yarns, slobs, and uneven yarn contrasts are common in handwoven fabrics. These are natural outcomes of the weaving process and enhance the product’s individuality and beauty.

  • Wash Care: Dry clean only. Cold wash is recommended to prevent any bleeding of natural dyes.
