About Tangail Sarees:

Tangail sarees are hand-woven on cotton and silk with hand-worked buti, floral designs, or contemporary motifs. The characteristic feature of Tangail sarees is the extra weft buti technique, where tiny motifs are repeated throughout the saree using a Jacquard loom. Cotton Tangail sarees are light and excellent for daily wear. Around 1,000 weavers and 2,000 ancillary artisans in Nadia and Bardhaman districts are responsible for producing these uniquely elegant cotton sarees.
