About the Author

Bijoya Choudhury was born in Shibsagar, Assam, and grew up in Sylhet. She spent many years in Mumbai and is a well-known singer. Her first record was released by H.M.V. in 1965. Over time, she continued to make significant contributions to the music world.

Her cooking journey began with learning from her mother, and over time, she has combined her personal enthusiasm and interest with her inherited skills, resulting in the creation of many unique and flavorful recipes. In 2004, she also authored a book titled ‘Silhet Konya’s Autobiography’.
