Author's Bio
Joy Sen (জয় সেন) is currently the Head of the Department of Architecture and Regional Planning at IIT Kharagpur (2017-2020). He is also the chief director of India's Science and Heritage Initiative (SandHI), a large-scale project launched by the Government of India. Joy Sen holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and a Doctorate in Regional Planning from IIT Kharagpur, and a Master's degree in Community and Regional Planning from Ohio State University, USA. He has worked with various international organizations like UNDP and DFID and has authored several textbooks.
His first book, Sindhu Hate Sayan, published in January 2018, explores the fusion of science and culture in India's historical context. He is also an accomplished artist, skilled in sketching and playing the sitar. His artistic contributions can be seen in the illustrations within this book.
