Book Description

"Robertsoner Ruby" is not just the final adventure of the legendary detective Feluda but also the last novel penned by the iconic Satyajit Ray. Published in the Desh magazine’s Puja edition during the year of Ray’s passing, this story is a compelling mix of intrigue and emotion.

At the heart of the tale is a rare and valuable ruby, as large as a pigeon’s egg, which once belonged to India but eventually became part of the Robertson family in a foreign land. Peter Robertson, an honest descendant of the family, travels to India with his photographer friend to return the gem to its rightful place, fulfilling the last wish of his ancestors.

However, the journey to return a gem worth over ten lakh rupees isn’t without peril. Ray masterfully weaves a thrilling narrative, intertwining a long-buried murder mystery with Feluda’s sharp detective instincts. The story, as much about humanity as it is about adventure, leaves a profound impact.

The book’s cover and illustrations are created by Subrata Gangopadhyay, adding visual charm to the gripping tale.
