About the Author:
Ishwar Modi is a prominent sociologist and a pioneer of leisure studies in India. He served as the Director of the Centre for Leisure and Tourism Studies at the University of Rajasthan and is currently the Director of the India International Institute of Social Sciences. He has held several prestigious academic positions, including President of the Indian Sociological Society and a member of the Executive Committee of the International Sociological Association. He has authored, co-authored, and edited several books and is on the editorial boards of several national and international journals.
