Book Summary:
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, one of the most significant revolutionaries of India's independence movement, was not just an inspiring leader and orator but also a philosopher, thinker, and prolific writer. His numerous writings, speeches, and letters, composed at different times and places, have been meticulously compiled into this extensive collection with the direct support of the Netaji Research Bureau and published by Ananda Publishers.
The first ten volumes of this series have already been published, featuring his autobiography "Bharat Pathik", political analyses, speeches, rare letters, and invaluable historical documents. These volumes chronicle his journey through leadership, the formation of the Azad Hind Fauj (Indian National Army), his armed resistance against the British, and his vision for Indiaās future.
This 11th volume includes:
- Articles, statements, and letters written between 1943-1945
- Details on the formation of the Azad Hind Fauj
- Planning of the Provisional Government of Free India
- Documents related to Netajiās war efforts against British rule
About the Author:
Subhash Chandra Bose was born on January 23, 1897, in Cuttack, India. He studied philosophy at Cambridge University and cleared the Indian Civil Service (ICS) exam in 1920, but resigned to dedicate himself to the freedom struggle. Under the guidance of Deshbandhu Chittaranjan Das, he entered politics and was elected President of the Indian National Congress in 1938 and 1939. After ideological differences with Congress leaders, he founded the Forward Bloc in 1939 and later escaped from India in 1941 to seek international support for Indiaās independence. His formation of the Azad Hind Fauj and military resistance against British rule remain a remarkable chapter in Indiaās history.
