Book Description:

In the modern world, Grameen Bank represents a revolutionary movement, and its visionary founder, Muhammad Yunus, is the driving force behind it. In the 1980s, Yunus established Grameen Bank with a mission to eradicate poverty and empower the world’s poorest people by unlocking their inherent creative potential. His dream of creating a poverty-free world has today turned into a reality.

Yunus himself believes, “Grameen Bank is an institution built by the poor, for the poor. It is a dream come true.” The bank has proven to be a transformative tool for the poorest, as Yunus describes: “What we dream, we can achieve. Dreaming is the first step before achieving. I have witnessed this every day through the work of Grameen Bank. Seeing poor women using a small loan to empower themselves has only strengthened my faith in this cause.”

In this autobiographical account, Muhammad Yunus takes the reader through the journey of his life—from his childhood to the founding of Grameen Bank, its subsequent successes, and the opening of new horizons. Through this memoir, Yunus unravels the layers of his life, thoughts, and ideas, much like the unfolding of a beautiful flower. His story is one of perseverance, vision, and the pursuit of a dream.

Ultimately, Gramin Bank O Amar Jiban is the tale of a visionary man whose determination turned an ambitious dream into a global reality, changing the lives of millions of people for the better.
