About the Author
Renuka Devi Choudhurani was born on 31st July 1909 in Baghber, Mymensingh. She hailed from the Kalipur and Muktagacha zamindar families of Mymensingh and became the wife of Dhirendrakanta Lahiri Choudhury. After the partition of India, she settled in Kolkata. Renuka Devi Choudhurani is most well-known for her earlier works, "Rakamari Niramis Ranna" (1988) and "Rakamari Amis Ranna". Her son-in-law, Shila Lahiri Choudhury, edited the manuscript of her non-vegetarian recipes.
In addition to this book, Renuka Devi Choudhurani has also written several works on sweets and snacks, which are yet to be published. She passed away on 28th April 1985.
