About the Author:
Kishalay Thakur was born on 18th Aghrahayan 1335 (1928 CE) in Gailla, Barishal. He graduated from B.M. College, Barishal. His professional journey began as a headmaster and later transitioned to journalism. He worked as the chief reporter for Loksabek, senior reporter for Anandabazar, and remained associated with Desh magazine in its editorial department until his death. Thakur's literary career began with poetry, and he later expanded to essays and translations. His biography of Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay, titled ‘Pather Kobi’, earned him the Tagore Society’s Prantosh Ghatak Memorial Award. He had a deep connection with rural Bengal and a rich understanding of its culture
