About the Author: K. N. Rao
K. N. Rao (Kotamraju Narayana Rao) is a renowned Indian Vedic astrologer from a Brahmin family in Andhra Pradesh. He was the second of four children of K. R. Rao, an eminent journalist during India’s independence period.
His family has a legacy of distinguished professionals. His elder brother, Pratap Rao, was in the Foreign Service, while his younger brother, Vikram Rao, served as President of the All India Working Journalists Association. His youngest brother, after retiring as a bank manager, joined the esteemed Journal of Astrology.
Academically accomplished, K. N. Rao earned a Master’s degree in English Literature. He initially worked as an English lecturer before joining the Indian Audit and Accounts Service. He retired as Director-General in 1990.
