About the Author:
Professor A.K. Bhattacharyya is a distinguished scholar in Indian and Trans-Indian art, celebrated for his extensive academic contributions over more than fifty years. He holds dual M.A. degrees in Sanskrit and Islamic History and Culture, both with First Class honors, topping his class in the latter.
Throughout his career, he has been honored with numerous prestigious fellowships and research grants, including those from the University of Calcutta, Pacific Cultural Foundation, Indian Council of Historical Research, Japan Foundation, Government of West Germany, and the Royal Government of Thailand. His works are widely respected and have significantly influenced the field of Indian art and cultural studies.
