Under the mentorship of Sir Abanindranath Tagore, the legendary artist joined the Government Art College in Kolkata as the Deputy Principal, marking the beginning of a new era in Indian art education. This phase initiated the direct transmission of artistic knowledge through the teacher-student tradition, carrying forward the wave of artistic revolution in India. Abanindranath's unique approach blended traditional Indian artistic values with foreign artistic techniques, creating a paradigm shift in Indian art.

Through his teaching, he instilled a fresh perspective in his students, who developed their own distinct artistic languages. The works of his disciples continue to shine timelessly, marked by brilliance, purity, and immortality, carrying forward his vision. This book explores the evolution of the school of thought introduced by Abanindranath, showcasing the artistic legacy that continues to thrive through generations of artists.
