Dr. K.M. Suresh (b. 1952) is currently the Director (Museum) at Kannada University. He holds a Master's Degree in Ancient Indian History, Culture, and Epigraphy from Karnataka University (1974) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Archaeology from the Institute of Archaeology, Archaeological Survey of India, New Delhi (1986). He completed his Ph.D. at Utkal University, Orissa (1992) on the topic Sculptural Art of Hampi-Vijayanagar.
Dr. Suresh has been a part of the Archaeological Survey of India since 1976, serving in various museums and excavation sites like Bijapur, Hampi, Khajuraho, Aihole, and Badami. He has worked actively in the Excavation Branch IV of the Archaeological Survey of India, Bhuvaneshwar. His other notable works include Saivite Sculptures of Khajuraho, Sculptural Art of Hampi, and Forts and Fortifications of Vijayanagar. He has contributed several research papers to leading journals and felicitation volumes.
