Dr. Mrs. Dulari Qureshi is a prolific writer and researcher with a special focus on cultural heritage. She has written nearly 700 articles, features, and interviews, which have been published in prestigious national newspapers such as The Times of India, Indian Express, and regional newspapers like Maharashtra Times and Dainik Lokmat. She has also contributed to renowned national magazines like the National Institute of Fashion Technology and Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation.
Dr. Qureshi has authored more than fourteen books on art and architecture, with three additional books currently under publication. She has been a prominent researcher, publishing over fifty research articles and completing six minor research projects sponsored by institutions such as the University Grant Commission (UGC) and the Indian National Council for Historical Research (ICHR).
As a retired Professor and Director of the Department of Tourism Administration, Dr. Qureshi’s most significant contribution was the initiation of the Ellora Aurangabad Festival in 2002, which gained international popularity. She is also credited with introducing Heritage Walks in the region to raise awareness about cultural heritage and the preservation of monuments.
Dr. Qureshi has received numerous awards for her contributions to research, tourism promotion, and monument preservation, including the Lifetime Achievement Award from Lokmat Sakhi Manch and the Indrayani Bodhankar Award. She has also served as an expert in report writing for the National Assessment and Accreditation Committee (NAAC) and as an Emeritus Professor at Mahatma Gandhi Mission University, Aurangabad.
