About Santipuri Saree

The Santipuri saree, named after Santipur in Nadia District of West Bengal, is renowned for its jacquard designs. The use of fine cotton yarn, ranging from 60s to 100s in both warp and weft, ensures a luxurious finish. The designs are inspired by nature, with popular patterns such as Ganga-Jamuna, Benkipar, Bhomra, Rajmahal, Anspar, Do-Rookha, Visva-Bharati, Brindamani Mour-Par, and Nilambari. Santipuri saree is a Geographical Indication (GI) product of Bengal. Each saree takes approximately 2-3 days to complete by a skilled weaver.
