Anshuman Behera is an Associate Professor in the Conflict Resolution and Peace Research Programme at NIAS, Bengaluru. His research interests include social-political conflicts, conflict resolution, political processes in South Asia, and political theory. He has co-edited several books, including Reasoning Indian Politics (Routledge, 2018) and Militant Groups in South Asia (Pentagon Press, 2014).

Shailesh Nayak is the Director of the National Institute of Advanced Studies, Bengaluru, and Chancellor of TERI Institute of Advanced Studies, New Delhi. A former Secretary of the Ministry of Earth Sciences and Chair of the Earth System Science Organization (ESSO), he played a key role in establishing India’s tsunami warning system and marine services.
